Our next meeting will be in the new year on Tuesday 12th January at 7:30pm where we will have an evening with Bake Off’s Howard Middleton with stories from the Bake Off and how he was inspired to take part and how his life changed after appearing on the show.
Due to the latest advice from the government on Covid-19, all face-to-face meetings are cancelled until further notice. This includes the main meetings, as well as the small groups and trips. Any questions, please email. firstname.lastname@example.org
Holmfirth WI welcomes women of all ages and backgrounds to learn, make, create, do, campaign, meet, make friends, network and of course drink tea and eat cake! We are a diverse growing group of enthusiastic women of all ages and walks of life, from the Holme Valley, who come together to take part in activities, meetings, workshops, WI campaigns, fundraising and strengthening our community.
Unitl further notice, we have cancelled all our meetings in the civic hall and now have most of our ‘events’ on conference platform zoom. See calendar for details
You don’t have to join straight away as you can attend as a guest to see if we’re the group for you. We make a small charge for guests.
The membership subscription for 2020 is £43.00. New members will pay a pro-rata subscription depending on the quarter in which they join,as shown in the following table:

Holmfirth WI is not just about our monthly meetings as we have several subgroups meeting up regularly such as the book club, knitting and crochet group and the craft group. These groups are cancelled for now due to Covid-19 However, we are currently holding a virtual book club and knitting & crochet group.
We also organise extra activities such as local walks, archery, theatre trips, woodturning and supper clubs. You can sign up to any of the activities via Eventbrite at home or at our monthly meetings. On occasions, we open up events to children, partners, family and friends. None due to Covid-19

Aims and Resolutions
As a young WI, we officially opened in January 2013 we want to help strengthen Holmfirth’s community by getting involved in local events and supporting our neighbourhood wherever we can. We also want to support the women’s institute at large by following the resolution. Check out our campaign page for current information.
