As voted for by our members, and in celebration of its 30th anniversary, we will be enjoying a screening of Ghostbusters accompanied by a themed buffet.
This event is open to members, guests, family and friends.
Obviously this is a bit more than our events usually are, but consider how much it would cost you to go to the pictures and have a mediocre meal and we think you’ll agree this represents good value for what will be a great night out.
Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite or at Tarts meetings, though when they are gone, they are gone.
There will be a table buffet, before the film and an interval during which popcorn will be served and and New York Cheesecake will be available to purchase as a extra treat.
Additionally there will be an opportunity to Ghostbuster themed prizes. Should you feel the need to dress up, do feel free but its not a pre-requisite, though there may be some awards made for effort! And of course singing along to the theme tune is wholeheartedly encouraged.
The menu has been designed especially for the evening by the Gingerbread Gang and celebrates the area where the film is set – Downtown New York.
For the meat eaters – salt beef
For the veggies – “no-meat loaf”
If you have another dietary requirement please email firstname.lastname@example.org
This will be served with:
A selection of salads – slaws, summer potato salad, Waldorf salad
Mushrooms with provolone and pesto
Selection of pickles and russian dressing
Rye breads and pretzels
The food is cooked on the day and Gingerbread source our ingredients from local suppliers. Higg, our cook for the night, has 11 years experience including El Piano in York and The Handmade Bakery. He is able to cater for restricted diets and can speak with any guest who has questions.
The price includes the screening and meal. It does not include any travel to/from Huddersfield, drinks, and cheesecake.
The film wilm be timed to finish before the last train however if there is enough interest we can organise a minibus. Please speak to Rebecca if you would like that
