Welcome to
Holmfirth WI
Pratty Flowers
Formed in 2012 Holmfirth WI are a fairly new WI that embraces women of all ages. We are very pleased that you've found us and we hope to offer all our members the opportunity to make new friends, and learn and experience different skills and activities. We endeavour to bring you a fabulous mix of events to enjoy throughout the year. To date we have enjoyed meetings on a wide variety of topics which have included pottery, local history, bread making, Edwardian fashion, gin sampling, quilting, birds of prey, food tasting, bhangra dancing, bell ringing and local theatre.
Our committee and sub groups put together exciting annual programmes of events which promise to include a variety of activities: walks, bike rides, bakes, books, crafts, and inspirational speakers.
MEETINGS: Every 2nd Tuesday of the month, 7.30pm.
VENUE: Meetings take place at Holmfirth Methodist Church unless we're out on a visit. Any change in details will be listed on the monthly advert and on Facebook.

Each year we choose a local charity to support. In December 2023 the
Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership was voted in as our campaign for the following year. We will be raising funds for this charity through our monthly raffle and other initiatives.
To learn more about the great work this organisation does take a look at their website:
Taking Action is a new section to promote our activities within the community. Most of these additional community activities will be lead by the Campaigns & Community sub group. If you are interested in getting involved you can join here. Our campaigns will also be advertised on Eventbrite.
