We enjoyed a great evening at Brockholes Bowling Club. We learned about jacks and woods and why it's called a crown green! Our thanks go to the club volunteers who split us into groups of 3 and bravely taught us how to do it. Some of us were a little heavy handed (you know who you are Nicola!) and all of us succeeded in sending the jack away and getting our woods in the, more or less, correct vicinity. It looks like a few members may be visiting again.
